Guyana Oil and Gas Energy Chamber Training Seminar

The Guyana Oil and Gas Energy chamber hosted a training seminar today for the students of Cummings Lodge Secondary School at the GOGEC Training Center.

The students were addressed by the President of GOGEC, Mr. Manniram Prashad and Hon. Minister Robeson Benn, Minister of Home Affairs who are both graduates of Cummings Lodge Secondary School.

The students were also addressed by the Commissioner of Police, Clifton Hicken, General Manager of SBM Offshore Guyana, Mr. Martin Cheong , and Mr. Denis Chabrol from Demerara waves and CEO of GTT Mr. Damian Blackburn who all gave motivational pep talk to the students.

The Managing Director of of HHSL Safety System Guyana, Mr. Herman Vieira outlined the various job opportunities that exists in the oil and gas sector and Mr. Joel Bhagwandin, Financial Analyst, explained the oil and gas sector from an economic point of view.

The students were presented with their certificate of Attendance by Mr. Victor Fernandes, President of the Linden Chamber of Commerce.

GOGEC has thus far conducted training for the following schools: Annandale secondary, Apex Education, Christ Church, Bishop’s High School, St. John’s College, St. Joseph High, St. Stanislaus, Brickdam Secondary, North G/town Secondary, St. George’s High School, and Charlestown Secondary.
